My Story:

Varying worldviews, cultural practices, and belief systems have always fascinated me. As a kid I would flip through National Geographic and imagine myself slashing through the Congolese jungle with a machete or exploring the streets of Marakech.

In 2014, I left my job in logistics and my family and I moved to East Africa. We spent the majority of our time along the south coast of Tanzania but also enjoyed an extended stay in Kenya. In 2019, we returned to the U.S. where I began working as the Pastor of Global Ministries for our church in the Greater Houston area.

With over 150 languages spoken across the city, Houston is a great place for those who have a hunger for cultural diversity! Over the course of the last several years I’ve been privileged to have the opportunity to work with refugees and immigrants from a number of different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. I’ve created and led area temple visits for groups in our community, trained and led teams around the world, and helped to equip and prepare a number of expats on their way to a life in a new context.

I graduated from Texas State University in 2007 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and received my M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Columbia International University in 2018. I am currently in the process of earning my ACC from PCCI.

I’m a blessed husband to my wife, Lauren, and the proud father of four.

I look forward to working with you!

Grace and peace,

Jason
